What are you paying for?

An iPhone and a set of ear buds

Mobile devices have come a long way since the first Nokia.  Technology has evolved and so has our behaviour towards how we use them.  They’re not just a device for making calls, in fact, that’s probably down the priority list! But is paying through the nose the right way to go to get the latest on-trend iPhone or Samsung?

So, with the heavy price tag for many smart phones, what are you paying for?  Smart phones have become people’s offices so people ending up paying for the privilege of having a reliable, powerful device, and that maybe a requirement but rather than having the latest iPhone, HTC One, or S21, there are many other options which people tend to forget about. Is having a phone that can fold in half really necessary?  Yes, there was the Motorola, but that was more of a flip phone.

You’ll need to do your research, but perhaps think twice about getting or needing the latest on-trend device, particularly in this economic climate.  Ask yourself what you’re using it for and what are the must-haves.  You may just find you can cut your phone tariff in half by going for a mid-range phone which performs just as well and does everything that you need it to (and still with the likes of the Samsung tag!).
